Story acting with real teachers!
Caroline Granata is graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington in May of 2024 OR (depending on when this is being put out) Caroline Granata graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in May of 2024 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in ESOL. She is looking to teach somewhere in southern Maine near where she grew up and work towards getting her Masters degree in the future. She recently presented at the National Council Teachers of English conference in Columbus, Ohio and was able to share her research about learning about literacy with fourth graders through book buddies and was really grateful to be able to share her work and see other professionals work in education. Caroline is passionate about hands-on learning and using movement and fun to keep students engaged and to maximize learning as well as building a strong community of students who feel like they belong in her classroom.
Jacqueline Hamilton a junior at UMF. She is studying elementary education with a minor in ESOL and a concentration in mathematics. Jacqueline is also an honors student! Jacqueline plays basketball at UMF and loves to cheer on her friends at other sports events. Jacqueline plans to get her masters through UMF as well. Jacqueline loves UMF and the community around her! Jacqueline values project-based learning in her classroom and feels that movement during activities is crucial to learning. Making education fun and engaging for all students is something that Jacqueline will carry into her future practices
